How do I stop being angry? I'm 29 and I've always been a pretty angry dude. I feel like it has gotten much worse in the last ~2 months. Prior to this I was feeling more along the lines of depressed.
Situation:
>Live with girlfriend
>she works all day
>I spend all day looking for work
>I've been unemployed since November
>when not looking for work I'm fiddling with a variety of DIY projects
>have enough money saved for another year
>lonely during the day and then get easily annoyed when girlfriend is home
Every little fucking thing annoys me. Frustration is the overwhelming feeling, but I doubt anyone would take that feeling seriously.
I swear at every little thing that happens.
>drop extension cord
>>Cock sucker!
>thing falls over
>>mother fucker!
>popups on a porn site
>>god damn it!
>repeat ad nauseam
Everything frustrates me. I'm sure it's a manifestation of my inability to find gainful employment, but it's an underlying personality "trait" that I've had all my life.
wat do?
meditation.

meditation, exercise and more meaningful projects. perhaps, setting more goals to yourself. some that you can achieve
it sounds like you are not mad at things but you are mad at yourself.
please don't ever mistreat your loved ones if it happens. learn to correct things with therapy techniques.
Try exercising or working out.

That seems a bit drastic.
I'm in Colorado, so I could self medicate with lmaoweed. But that would hinder my job searching and I'm not "interested" in it anyway.

>medication
See above
>exercise
I really should, but it's boring and I hate it.
>meaningful projects
I do lots of DIY shit. I've started making weekly youtube videos to help motivate my projects and give me something else to get involved in.
>please don't ever mistreat your loved ones if it happens.
Fortunately, I mostly get mad at inanimate objects. When my girlfriend annoys me, I am mostly silent about it.

What's the difference?
Thanks for actually responding.

I didn't say medication you fuck I said meditation.
there's a difference, you do one for bettering yourself, the other one is for health.
Do you find yourself actively fighting your anger? Try allowing yourself to feel the anger, recognize it, and not dwell on it. It will pass with surprising speed. It's something you have to train yourself to do though. It takes practice , but having peace of mind is worth the effort.

What do you mean by 'feel'?
I have small, verbal outbursts every time. It passes as quickly as it comes.
>29 year old whose anger caused him to start having anxiety attacks
I have control issues, and was dissatisfied with what I was doing with myself. I took a few weeks off my job (a major stressor) and started lifting heavy things and chatting with qts on dating sites. Ultimately, I had to transfer to a new site, but my anger doesn't build near as quickly.
Why do you say you get annoyed when your girlfriend is around?

>Why do you say you get annoyed when your girlfriend is around?
I don't really know. Some times I feel anxiety when she's home. It's weird. First I'm relieved to see her, then some time after dinner I just feel annoyed by her for no particular reason.
