I think I have misdiagnosed Autism and the label is become painful for me. help?I have Ptsd from a sexual assault I never told anyone about and I think that's what my problem was all along. My mum is very Munchausen by proxy about it (the Autism) and everyone thinks I'm lying about what happened.

OP I went to a therapist because I've had 13 heavily traumatic events, some of which have given me symptoms of ptsd. They tried to call it aspergers. Because my mannerisms were somewhat withdrawn. While talking about trauma.

Sometimes shrinks are fucking dicks looking for an easy solution for their books - not to help you.

I'm still figuring out what to do.

Same and I had only one event but that doesn't excuse this behaviour from others.
