STEM is okay for a BA/S and a mid-level career.

I have a BS in STEM, but I only used it to pay for grad school to earn my MBA and JD.

Now it's just a fallback degree. STEM workers are about to be our new McDonald's workforce. Only leave your cushy little job if you have something greater lined up, otherwise you're just going to spin circles in your new job too.

Well, it depends on what you want the degrees for. I never obtained an MBA and JD to work for someone else's business. I practice international law in a global economy. I don't give a shit about American markets or mba/lawyer bubbles, that kind of thinking is in why there are so many unemployed people with degrees, we live in a truly global economy.

Your bachelor's isn't worthless, it's just not as good as you originally thought. A BA is more like a liberal arts degree with a few focused courses to call it a "STEM" degree. On the other hand, a BS is more focused on your field.

To answer your original question, I would never hire someone with a BA in STEM over a BS in STEM, much less hire a BA/STEM over a BA or BS in FAME.
