Break ups are always hard , maybe in your case you are having a worse time than he is , but we dont know the full story , there could be some chance that he is being stuborn and is wanting you to reach out to him , life is short ... if you really feel the need to contact him by all means do so , but if his choice is still set on you two not being a item no more you have to move on.

If its any help , i went through the same thing about a year ago , i thought i would never find someone like her but i did , i found much better and i am happier now.
