At least I have a job that provides me with 40 hours of distraction a week, I'd be even worse without it. Is there some way to end this boredom, or is this just the rest of my life? I don't even have the willpower to try doing something small.

Try exercise. Exercise is amazing for building up your willpower. Literally forcing your body to release endorphins
