They can usually find you through your e-mail, but I think FB has some options to get rid of this. I'd use a new e-mail that never interacted with any of these people just in case though.

Its impossible, facebook suggests me people who have no friends in common but live in my area or went to the same cafe, idk how they do it, they probably buy gps data from jewgle, kinda scary desu but its unfortunatly a necessity if you are in uni, for class groups and group assignments
