There is no "how". Most people who identify as anything other than their biological sex tend to just feel it very strongly, without going through a "process" to reach that conclusion. Well in my own experience when I was younger I just thought fantasizing about being female all the time and wanting to act girly was just some weird personality quirk rather than a female gender identity. Part of the cause of your depression could be gender related, although I would guess there are other factors involved as well. I'd advise working through solving those things in addition to whatever else instead of just giving up all hope, but it's really up to you.

I've saved up my pocket money, so i could probably afford hormones for a while, if the health insurance from germany won't pay for it. The problem is, it won't nearly be enough for an apartment and i'm pretty sure it's not possbile to keep it a secret forever. Well i went to a psychiatrist for a while, but i think she didn't like me and i didn't want to waste her time anymore, so i stopped going there. The main cause of my depression is probably that life just sucks, but i feel like it could suck less if i would feel less anxious when meeting other people, which would probably be the case if i could look and act more like i feel. I don't know if i'd like to go to uni again after my transition, or what kind of job i could possibly do later on, but if i don't do anything it will just stay this way. I love you.

I've asked A TON of people, trust me, and no one, NOT ONE, could give me a definition of either gender. Nothing makes you a man. Nothing makes you a woman. A man is a woman with a penis. A woman is a man with a vagina. Everything else is secondary. Besides getting pregnant, both sexes are capable of the same things in theory and it greatly depends on each person. You are neither a woman nor a man, you are just a complex individual like literally everyone else.
The question is not what gender you are but why does it matter? You will be masculine for some things, feminine for others. It's just a matter of how you make the most out of each aspect of your life.

I assume your question is basically "should I transition" which is the way you should have worded it but then again, your gender doesn't matter. Your life attitudes, the way you want to live your life, is what matters. Not a label.

I still honestly have no idea what gender is supposed to feel like, when removed from physical sex and traditional gender roles. Transgender people want to be the other sex, that's the basis of their gender identity. I understand wanting to be neither too and just ignore your gender/sex. But other forms of nonbinary? What the hell are they supposed to feel like?

I just go by my sex, I don't particularly like it or feel like it, but it's easiest. Transitioning and getting people to call you different pronouns and whatnot are such big ordeals, you know? So I just accepted what I am even though I often wished I was born as the other sex.
