Is it a good idea to ask girls out when you don't have a car?
I have been waiting to ask this girl out that I work with, but our shifts haven't been matching up unfortunately. A couple days ago I got in a car accident, insurance covered it, it's all good, i had to take my car to the shop and it won't be ready for at least a week.
Is it lame to have her pick me up if we end up doing something? what should I do? I don't really want to wait because things are getting pretty good between us and I don't want to wait until our schedules match up again.

Do you live in a major city where it's normal to not have a car? Also what's your age?

If you haven't really interacted with her before and you initiated, it might be awkward. If you're that concerned you could take a bus/train/taxi/etc., do something at your place, or do within reasonable walking distance from where you live.

No, and 19
If you live in a major city where having a car is a burden like New York.
Christ just ask her out and sweat the details later.
And I doubt she will give a fuck about you not having a car temporarily as long as you are smart about planning the date.
