I did the right thing
If I'd have walked on by no-one would care or know
But I didn't , I tried to make sure some people were safe
now no-one likes me because of it
What should I do?

what did you do friend?
if you stopped some bros from consensual sex with some passed out chick behind a dumpster then you did the wrong thing.
I can't say in case I'm a prosecuting witness
How do you distance yourself from toxic people, anons? How do you deal with the grief when you leave those people? Please share your stories.
It could be friends or social acquaintances. It could be a spouse or significant other.
In my case, my family is pretty bad. They are mostly alcoholics and drug addicts. My parents especially go out of their way to start drama and fights, verbally abuse (and used to physically abuse) my siblings, steal money, etc.
But they are my parents so I have a thirty + year history with them, and I have found that it is impossible to distance myself completely.
If my dad ends up in the hospital or jail, the cops call me first. We work in the same industry so we will end up working with the same people or on the same contracts. We know so many people in common.
I love my parents, I really do, but I am so tired of getting hurt/taken advantage of every time I see them.
I don't know at this point what kind of boundary to create. Should I stop talking to my dad altogether? Just see him on holidays?

>How do you distance yourself from toxic people, anons?
It's difficult especially if you're single and vulnerable
I got caught up with some old bullshit and the people I met that had been around it couldn't tell me wtf was going down
eventually I waved the person good bye as they packed their bags out of the person's home they were with and that seemed a pretty good out come
they were gone.
meanwhile some other unrelated random crap happened which I dealt with and became OP, it was a total fluke of bad luck
As for you, apply for jobs a way a way and move would be my advice

yeah but it had resonance
it's fucked to shit the thread
>>17286069
yeah, dude, until the trial is over that means we can't really discuss your problem.
Sounds like it sucks though.
Who is it that "doesn't like you" because of testifying?
Your family, your friends, your neighbors?

I don't think there is going to be, or at least not that I'll be connected to
It's probably over but It does suck,
