Thinking he was cleaning our apartment before he moved out, my old roommate threw out a pair of sneakers of mine. They were expensive initially but we're pretty worn by the time he threw them out. I ripped him a new ass hole.
He then sent me an emailed apology and asked me how much they were worth. I guessed about $400 and told him so in my reply thinking he might offer some compensation. He went straight cuck offering to pay me $2,000 for his fuck up. He's pay it over time but give me a down payment of $500.
Do I:
A) Forgive him and tell him to keep his cash.
B) Charge him something less than the original cost to make up for the inconvenience he caused.
C) Charge him $400 for a new pair.
D) Cuck him for $2,000.

B) would be my call. Don't fuck over friends, but don't be a doormat for them either.

He's not a friend, just a roommate. However, point taken.

And not a current roommate. We are no longer roommates
What the fuck?
I would probably just ask for the real value (or less). No reason to fuck him over.
Weird story though. $400 is a lot for some shoes, but if they were worn out, why would you get so mad? Also, 2 grand? That's insane.

I want upset about the price, they were worn. I just liked the shoes and they had life left. He's going a little overboard though. But 2k...

The roomate's probably in another thread here, sperging about this
Why the fuck do you even have to ask yourself whether you should fuck this guy over or not
The answer is obvious
Be a good person and don't fuck him over
Its not hard
Dude 400 bucks shoes wtf is wrong with you

This wouldn't bother me so kuch if they were some nice Allen Edmonds or something, but they were sneakers. Who the fuck spends that much on sneakers?
