Do broken/cut nails grow back? I was shaving my balls and accidentally

nah it didn't really hurt but it looks like an ugly cut of 1mm.
I'm wondering if it's permanent or it will be growing back over time. Google only shows results for "damaged" nails, not broken.

I crushed my toenail once, it turned blue and fell off and a new one grew back. You've already seen a doctor, right?

I imagine it depends on how you damaged it, but every scenario I can think of for a cut on your nail should result in it growing back.

Might take a while and be ugly as fuck for a bit though.

Sort of. It's more that they grow out. The break will get further and further from the base of the nail until you can just clip/file/whatever it out.

This could take a couple of weeks, though.

The nail will grow out, but it may not adhere to the nail bed properly which will result in separation and a weaker nail.
