I did a ton of stupid shit when I was a teenager. It is normal, all teenagers do - it's the moment when you stop doing what you're told and you do what you think it's cool, to define yourself.
Stop talking shit about her friend. Act as if she doesn't exist, if you don't have anything nice to say. I was so crazy about my friends when I was a teenager and I lived in a "us against them" fantasy, when my parents criticized my friends I defended every junkie high school dropout till death.
Treat her like an adult. Instead of telling her "you're a fucking idiot for cutting yourself, stop it", ask her why she does so, if she thought about the consequences of her actions, etc. Show her what's right and let her choose to do it, instead of telling her to do it.
