Well I have money and I want that cat, but I wouldn't be comfortable spending, lets say 50k or more on it, considering it might die in a couple of years. This. Just go down to the local shelter and at least look at the cats there and see if they have appropriate meme potential. There's a chance you could find basically this cat's identical twin. Maybe volunteer there a little bit to learn about cat care and to get a more intimate look at your options. If nothing there interests you just wait a bit til they get new cats in.

Unfortunately, the more money you offer for the cat, the more irrational and unfit for looking after the cat you become.

If you want the cat because you like it and think its cute then you should be logical enough to come to the conclusion the cat is happy with its real owner. Also you should understand that its not a cat you are buying, its a dear friend of the owner.

I've seen this on /an/ before, but, is the pancake cat have an actual breed, or is s/he just a mutt cat? The fuzzy white-tipped tail and white paws make me think it must be a breed I don't know about. If it's a mixed breed cat then it looks pretty awesome because it has different colors and fur patterns
