I had an operation to help lessen tinnitus in my right ear around a year ago which went really well and I am extremely grateful. However, I have recently started cutting my hair shorter and the asymmetry between my ears has become quite apparent.

No one has commented on this but I've become a bit insecure about it, nothing major though. Is this a feeling that will pass in time?

Pic related.

its all in your head. everyone has asymmetry. you only notice yours because you see yourself everyday and analyze your face.

people on a day to day basis, dont analyze other peoples faces. its not even something that if you did notice it, would be worth mentioning or thinking anything about at all.

the feeling will pass when you finally accept yourself and become comfortable in yourself as a human being.

also, if your problem wasn't your ears, it would just be something else. just live your life man, stop worrying about the superficial stupid shit

Thanks man, everything you said there is right. It is pretty minor. Certainly far better than constant ringing.

I'm a hairdresser and since i have to notice peoples ears to do a good job, i can genuinely tell you that most ears are asymetrical. Nobody notices that in a normal setting. So don't worry
>>
Oh come on, I have asymmetry as well, everyone do. My ears especially, both wider than normal, one I'd say borderline ok wide, other pass that, I'll probably go through otoplasty once I get the funds for it.

Your ears are fine, don't overstress about them, I do feel shit and insecure about my ears, but when I do, I always remember that they can be fixed with a relatively cheap operation and, secondly, I could have been born with some other unlucky feature, like crooked af nose or terrible face proportions.
