How many friends do you consider it takes to be socially acceptable?

+500 facebook friends just means you are a social whore

literally half the people on this board have no friends. don't beat yourself up over it.

i have about 95 facebook friends and 5 real life friends (which i have intense social contact)
and about 10 colleagues. (mild social contact)

I usually don't accept people who randomly add me in FB (i've rejected about 60+ requests)
And usually i delete people i have no more contact.

You should have at least 2 close friends I think, if not you're a weirdo. Anyway, you can always just pretend you have friends if it means so much to you.

I have 5 close friends that I trust fully, and a couple I only call up to get drunk with. I think thats within the norm.
