Is it possible to fake a degree in the US to get a high paying job?

Not a six figure job, but maybe something in the 60k-85k a year range?

Do employers actually ask for a copy of your degree in hand or do thorough background checks if it's just a regular job?
>>
Yes they do and how do you plan to fake the knowledge from a degree?

You're fucking retarded. The only reason I can see why you would even be dumb enough to ask or think it was possible and a good idea is because you literally have no one intelligent in your life.

define "regular job", what field is it? they don't want your degree in hand but they can and will very easily verify it for any job that would require a degree.
>>
It's really pretty easy to check using services like the National Student Clearinghouse. And I'm sure background checks are standard for most job.

Some people manage to get away with it, but not permanently. Companies have been known to fire and even sue employees years after the fact, once the truth comes out.
>>
Uh, I only make around 42k and they wanted photocopies of both my bachelors and my masters. Of course, I'm in a technical field so of course they wanted someone who had actually studied molecular biology, etc. Some higher paying jobs that are more administrative you might be able to fake out, but that's all networking to get those, and most people build their networks in college/graduate school, so you would be boned either way.

It is possible, has happened many times in the past. But the real question is how are you supposed to do your job?
