College isn't just for 18 year olds any more. More and more people are doing what you're doing - realizing they weren't ready for univerdity at 18 but now ready. In many universities 25-50% of undergraduates are your age or older.

So you won't be unique or even anything unusual. And my experience is that older students are always the best, just because they're more focused and motivated.

Pretty similar situation to mine. It helped that people couldn't tell I was an older student. Yes, it makes you realize you wasted your life but better late than never, and hopefully you take things seriously now.

I'm 23, started a career in the trades here in canada to pay for my way through university. I'll be 24 when I finally go.
