So I got a 1240 on the SAT and I'm kind of worried about how that stands. The score system has changed since I last took it. Should I be worried about my score?

Depends on the schools you're applying to. Go check their admission standards and see if you're above, below or right in the average.

You need a bare minimum of 1600, 4.5 gpa, and 10 extracurricular activities(sports don't count) to get into any good schools

So are you telling us you got 1240/2400 and not /1600, which is what they changed it to. If so, that's a garbage score, and you need to retake it.

What the actual fuck is this. Holy God. I do not envy kids these days. I lucked out with only needing the ACT 11 years ago. Welp, good luck guys. That really blows.

Which reminds me, that's actually still a thing. OP, look into taking the ACT instead.

It was out of 1600, which is why I asked.
> mfw I only needed the ACT and I got a 35

I see. They changed it from 1600 -> 2400 -> 1600 again, so I wasn't sure what you were saying.
I remember they made it so that you only have to show the highest SAT score you have to the college you're applying to, so it would probably be in your best interest to keep taking it until you get something really good. It's called SAT Score Choice, if you want to look into it.
