Hello /adv/.

So, yesterday I posted a thread on here because my copy of Windows was fucked up from a virus, and I've done a system restore to a previous point in time. This seems to have fixed some issues. but now my Google Chrome is fucked up.

No matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall it, the extensions don't seem to work for Google Chrome and the icon in the task bar is a blank white page instead of the Chrome logo.

Is there any way I can fix this?

And also, after getting rid of the adware or whatever it was (I think, I've run a full system scan of Avast and Malwarebytes) and restoring the computer to a previous save point, my computer seems to be running slower in some areas and some tasks don't even work (e.g. clicking on the start button doesn't open the start menu). Is this something I can fix too?

Thanks.

use firefox instead.

For chrome, try manually deleting the install files from program files (I forget if they're in x86 or just normal program files).

As for Windows, go into command prompt (run as administrator) and run the command: sfc /scannow

I'm a computer technician so if this doesn't work, I have a few other things in mind.

Hey, sorry for the late reply.

So I ended up resetting my PC, which fixed everything except for Chrome.

Right now, some extensions are working fine and others (4chan related ones like 4Chan X to be specific) just flat out don't work.

I'll try deleting the install files from program files, see if it works.

The app data for the browser or just app data in general?

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
