Hey /adv/ I have a question. How do I get more knowledge of computers. I'm currently a junior in highschool and I never really knew what I wanted to do after graduating until recently since I realized I'm always on my laptop. Hopefully after i have enough experience I'll know what I to do later on.

You're good. I didnt know what to do until the last year of college. And it was programming.
>how do I do that?
Simple. Tutorials, tutorials. Try codecademy, make some basic applications. See if you like it. Build something fun, some simple game or so.
All this assuming you want to be a developer and not an IT guy who deals with cables and networks, because I cant help there.

Oh and one more thing - even the best of us dont know everything. There is no such thing as dumb question in IT sector. You dont need to make a super application in just a few days. Just slow and steady steps.

I can hardly believe this
You ever played a pc game that's really popular, and isn't online? With games like those, especially RPGs or RTS, you can make manual modifications to the game to make it more enjoyable, called Mods. Many people share mods, and some include more radical changes than others, like massively expanding gameplay through playstyle options, settings, or just inserting new objects into the gameplay. Most people don't create their own mods, or at least most don't create very large or complex ones.Go Steam and look at mods for Skyrim to get a good idea of what they look like.
Also, go buy and play Freelancer

Thanks! I thought it had another meaning to it. I just don't really understand why he said mods when he said I was in highschool. Kinda confused me.

put your man pants on and learn C# instead. More versatile and powerful than Java with similar syntax.

I have no idea what that is but I will give it a try. Thanks!
