m 18 and have been in a relationship for nearly a year. Sexually active, and my girlfriend just told me if she accidentally got pregnant she wouldn't abort it. I've got career plans and really wouldn't want to become a teen dad. What do I do? I've thought about cutting out sex but I feel like that would damage our relationship. I've also thought about bringing it to an end, but I'm not sure.

She's young and foolish. That being said you likely won't change her mind.
My ex said she'd keep it but would give it away..
I really wish there was a birth control for men. (Besides condoms)

We've never had "unprotected sex" but obviously condoms still have a fail rate. It's a chance I'd rather wasn't there.

If look up the stats for pregnancy even trying to get pregnant takes time.
That being said I feel your concerns, it would completely fuck up your life. Likewise another girl could say she would get rid of it (if/when) and then end up keeping it.

Yeah I get what you mean, but it would be better knowing she might get rid of it, and not definitely want to keep it.
While it would be very painful, I think bringing the relationship to an end would be the correct thing to do. You wouldn't go to a casino and place 100 000$ on a random bet, yet being financially responsible for a child you don't want is worse than a 100 000$ debt. You are 18 years old. You have your whole life ahead of you. You shouldn't gamble it for an handful of orgasms.

That's my main concern, is that I throw my life away. I said the same thing to my girlfriend and she said it would just put our lives on a different path, but I totally disagree. I plan on joining the RAF, and she doesn't like that idea, so I don't think she cares if it ruins my career aspirations. I get your metaphor as well. I feel like it is a huge gamble.
