I can't afford a gym pass but I want to gain muscle mass what are my options?

High protein diet.

download a program like p90x, and follow it strictly. its mostly body weight routines. just go slow isntead of fast, as that will help muscle growth as opposed to calorie burning.

essentially though its push ups and pull ups and squats.

thanks

how much does a set of free weights cost?
>>
Look up "dinosaur training" it's stuff you can do around the house.
Example, lay on the stairs with your feet up higher and your heard at the bottom of the stairs and do pushups - puts more weight on your upper body than regular pushups.

More money than a year's subscription to a gym.

Push ups, sit ups, pull ups, punching bag, jogging, yoga or stretching, curls, buy a weight set
>>
>>16917585
find a park or public space with stairs and do it there
>>
There are literally thousands of bodyweight training routines out there.

Eat more calories than you put out when training to gain mass.

Easy.
>>
Not OP but I weigh about 110 5'7 but am pretty toned everywhere except my chest I've been told there's no easy way to really build one would I first need to gain fat or could I build lean muscle there through push ups.?
>>
I try to do 100 pushups a day. I do sets of 20-30. I dont do it everyday but some days I get up to 200.

>would I first need to gain fat
who told you this? Fat and muscle production are two separate things, one can't turn into the other. Muscle growth is accomplished by working your muscles until they tear then while you sleep your body rebuilds them slightly larger. If you're taking in excess calories while bodybuilding those calories (mostly) go towards building muscle rather than stored as fat. Its still important to try to get most of your calories from healthy foods though.
>>
Look online for a used set of weights. I managed to find a barbell, two dumbbells, a bench and a decent amount of weights for 50$
>>
Don't take anti-inflammatory drugs; they derail the muscle-building process.
>>
>>16917986
Fat and muscles can't turn into one another, but they are not separate. If you gain muscles than you inevitably gain fat in some amount and,on the contrary,if you lose weight you lose some muscles

If you literally know nothing about fitness, do not give advice

>>16917518
Don't listen to these retards. There's a sticky on /fit/ that has everything you could ever wish to know in it. The board gets a bad rep because maybe 5% of the people that post actually lift, but the sticky is all solid information. If you listen to all this momscience ITT you will get absolutely nowhere, trust me.
>>
Look up some calisthenics techniques maybe? Never tried them myself but dudes that do them are fucking jacked. A lot of parks have things you can use for them

Momscience is shit advice you'd expect to hear from your mom when you are five and you want to look like Goku. Its like broscience, but even less founded. Specify which post is yours so I can tell you why it is pants-on-head retarded advice
