While gambling does involve a bit of luck sometimes a lot of the games can easily be in your favor if you knows how odds work, how to read people, and generally how to play.

I play a Texas Hold 'Em game about twice a month. There's usually $1,000 on the table. I've won more than I've lost playing because I play a lot. So I don't see how it's a tax if I'm up money.

I never said anything about casinos because I don't go to casinos. I play private games where if you know what you're doing you have a very good chance of winning. A lot of people that gamble never set foot in a casino. Like I said, I'm in the black in terms of playing and I've played literally hundreds of games and am up thousands of dollars. It's also more rewarding to play a game and win then it is to pick some low risk stock and sit around to sell it. You're doing practically the same thing by playing stocks. It just requires a different knowledge and skillset than gambling.

Both gambling and trading isn't for everyone of course. Some people just aren't dedicated enough to the trade to become well read and practiced to make it profitable but that doesn't mean everyone should stay away. Especially if they're good at it.

Just a quick update, I just won 58€ without even playing with my own money
