How does one go about embracing their creative side? Like writing, drawing, painting, etc.
My brain feels like a huddled mass of so many ideas and concepts waiting to be put to paper or canvas but I can't seem to sort all of it out into anything coherent. It's all tidbits. I want to be able to pick apart my mind and write something thoughtful, or craft an image expressing my innermost thoughts, but I feel like I have no creativity whatsoever. What can I do to be more creative?

That's the purpose of art, to transpose the 'huddled mass' of ideas in your mind into a medium that you can use to clarify them. It sounds to me like you're waiting for inspiration, well don't, if what you're creating is shit it's not because you're uninspired, it's because you're not proficient enough in whatever artform you've chosen to properly convey what have in your mind. Instead of asking for advice on how to be more creative, you should be asking for advice on how to improve your craft.
the best way to go about it is go out their and do shit. Pick up that pen, write down that thought, express your ideas.
