This post is probably gonna stand out amongst the other questions here at the board, but I need advice and thats the name of the board, so here goes.
My landlord recently called me and said that the heater for the radiators (which are powered by water) has broken down.
My radiators are ice cold now, and its freezing outside.
I can get by, got some extra thick socks on and double blankets, but I wonder if I should turn off my radiators or not?
Are they just pumping out cold water now, making everything extra cold, or are they simply not doing anything at the moment?
I tried to look this up elsewhere but I think this problem is kinda unique/everyone else knows what to do except me who lives under a rock.

I'm assuming they're electric since you said "turn off"
Right now they're using up power doing absolutely nothing.
Turn them off. You're just wasting electricity and raising your bill (probably not by a lot, but why waste money?)

sounds like theyre trying to save money. my landlord said her basement thingy broke and then she comes to us a week later saying she bet 2k on fantasy football. next time, (if you have a lease) tell her to shove a foot up her ass and give u heat or else u will tell the govt.
