I'd say charisma is the crossroads of communication theory and acting practice. Study communications and a apply what you learn. I'm sure some people pick it up quicker than others but that applies to any skill.

Have interests, passions and share them. Find out what interests others and learn more about them. Conversation is relentlessly formulaic, learn tricks to break the formula's and you even if what you are saying has the same substance as everyone else at least you can say it in an interesting way.

It's non-neediness and responding well to social cues. If you are in your 20's I would say forget about making being charismatic the goal, like wanting to do 100 pushups. Just focus on improving yourself and developing passions and be genuinely interested in others.

Or a combination of the two. There is nothing wrong with learning how to speak and carry yourself from actors who are paid to play people who know how to speak and carry themselves. Nor does it make you less le deeeep of a person for doing so. I can speak passionately about acid jazz but no one wants to hear about it.

And learning humor from comdedians helps too. Most people don't know how to tell a story or a joke well. Learn delivery and pacing.

Charisma is about knowing what people want and giving it to them.
