I've been NEET for over three years now, and I've never had a full-time job. I have around $3000 CAD in my bank account, as well as $3000 or so in investments that I could take out; I also have a mother who would be more than likely willing to help me out financially, if need be. A very good friend has been wanting to move out for awhile now, and if I move out with him, we'd be splitting a rent of around $1100. Do you think this would give me the motivation to get a job and join society? Maybe the feeling of independence would help me? Because right now I do not feel like I'm 24.
If the quarter life crisis isn't kicking in yet then it's safe to say that you're officially a big baby.
exact same for me, been a neet over 3 years. except im 19. but i really dont feel 19. i literally havent been around other people my age at all since i quit school at 16. so i havent really learned to grow up properly. i dont know what people my age are supposed to be like. never had a job but im currently looking, soon as i get one im moving out. good luck out there.
Since you want to become independent, you've already won half the battle. The other half is finding a job. At least you're better than a guy I know since high school who's 32 now, never had a job, and never had any serious interest in finding one.
