That doesn't sound sadistic to me. If she's depressed then I don't see why suggesting suicide would upset her. Maybe she wanted you to try to cheer her up, rather than offer a solution. She should have just said so if that's the case.
You could try apologizing, I suppose. Or just drop your relationship if she's going to sulk instead of make amends.

I'm not speaking about this situation, but i tend to be sadistic and unempathic - trying to avoid this as much as i can when talking to her though. Wouldn't really want to drop relationship since that's pretty much last friend i have, others leaving quickly because of my behavior. Sadly she won't even read my messages, so she won't see that i apologized.

Well, I suppose most humans seek validation from their peers/friends/family, so to her you suggesting she kills herself probably made her think you don't care wether she lives or dies. Which, if she cares about your opinion of her, would likely be very upsetting.

Why would that make her upset though? I can't see how one would be upset about someone not caring whether they live or die while death isn't really a bad thing - i mean it could actually be even better than being alive, though it's not something i know.
