I'm addicted to surfing 4chan every day. How to stop this addiction?
Block 4chan
Shut your internet down
Keep yourself busy with any other things (read a book, learn something new, start to do physical exercises)
there's a lot of ways to stop it or (in weird cases) keep it to something moderated

I bet even if you're able to cut 4chan out from your life you'll just find some other dumb thing to fill your time to a certain level of addiction. You have to move yourself into a different surrounding and atmosphere and gear yourself up towards the thing you really want to focus on.

I don't know how to keep myself busy. I run out of books that I want to read and I am not interested in learning anything new.

>Ride bike.

Learn a language, maybe? Practice a sport?

also this

Learning a new language seems pointless. I know all the major languages spoken in my area already.
I suck at sport.

Holy shit this
I seriously cut down on playing video games and now all I do is read /adv/. If I quit /adv/ I would just start playing video games again.
You have to do what this anon said.

>all I do is read /adv/
Not that guy, but what is so addictive about /adv/?
I have the same problem. Spent all day yesterday at work browsing mu and adv. Make it fucking stop.

For some reason I really like hearing about other people's problems, I have my own and it makes me feel not so alone with them when I hear other people are dealing with the same shit.

Lol try checking out /r9k/
>>16794755
I pretty much just frequent /adv/ someday i went to /r9k/ and felt disgusted, am i too sensitive or its pretty common feel like this?
>>16794749
same here. Out in the 'real' world nobody speaks as open about their problems as here and I like /adv/ because it makes me feel like Im not the only fuck up with problems. I guess its also something protective inside me that makes me feel good if someone thanks me for a good advice.

currently browsing from work lol i want out too

My solution.
> go to /b/
> try to find a topic manually without catalog
> f5 f5 f5
> hopefully u get so mad about not being able to find your posting and quit
/b/ is bizarre in its rapid moving of threads - very short attention span inducing.
Frustration at things like this caused me to quit 4chan for ages.
