I need to know if I'm in the wrong.
I'm fairly certain I'm not but I would like to have some other opinions. Maybe there's something I'm missing.
So my roommate and friend of around half a decade (we met in highschool) told me he was going to try some pot brownies with his friends and wanted to know what I thought.
I said I was fine with him doing it as long as he didn't do it in our apartment and he agreed. They could go off and do mushrooms and I wouldn't care as long as it wasn't here. I think that's fairly reasonable.
Turns out that tonight he, my other roommate (who got a bad high and apologized and said he'd be up for talking about it tomorrow), and his friends ate them here because his friends still live in dorms (including the one with the hookup) and they don't want to get caught.
As soon as he and his friends got back from the Waffle House (the one with the bad high is trying to fall asleep at this point) I came out of the kitchen and sternly told them that they were banned until further notice because I wasn't cool with what happened.
I've been known to get angry very fast and be sort of draconian. Am I doing wrong here or being unreasonable, /adv/? I just need some second opinions.
Yeah, you're being a bit of a faggot about it. Unless I'm missing something, your roommate is paying rent, this is his home, and he has a right to have his friends over.
I can see how pot smoke would be a big annoyance, but I don't really understand why the pot brownies are a big deal. It's not heroin. Would you react the same way if he had his friends over for a few drinks?
Were they being loud and obnoxious late at night? How did this effect you? You left that part out.
This doesn't seem like a big deal, honestly.

Drinks are fine. I don't really care about them. But we live in a college town and everyone's always getting busted for drugs. I don't want the shit near me.
