Any Marines here? I've not even been in the Marine corps a year, and I'm already losing all my motivation. I'm not saying I want to get out early. But the prospect of being here for another three or so years seems very very shitty at the moment. I didn't really have a lot of people to talk to besides my shitty recruiters when I enlisted, and the Infantry is NOTHING like I thought it would be. How do you guys cope? I don't really have any friends that I can talk to about this shit, and all my civilian friends wouldn't even begin to understand what I was talking about.

cant really duck out tho, can ya? my recommendation look at what you want to do after the marines and just spend the next 3 years preparing yourself for that. people generally have to deal with 4 years of highschool than college, so this isnt much different. just another rest stop on the road of life. just get ripped, stay ripped, study something, spend any freetime you might have developing a hobby. you're on the internet now so i imagine you arent in buttfuckistan or anything.

Make the most out of it.
Set goals for yourself, and try to enjoy it, even if you have to enjoy it ironically.
You're stuck doing so you might as well put you're all in.
