Is pharmacy technician a solid career choice?
Should I self-study for the CPhT? What are the best books and resources to use?
I'm 24 and have no direction in life, and this seems like a job field I can break into relatively quickly, provided there's actually a need for them and I wouldn't be wasting my time getting certified.
Can anyone please help me out here? Especially anyone who works as/has worked as a pharmacy technician.

It's a starting point. Generally people are pharmacy techs while they're working towards something else. I wouldn't call anything that caps out at $20/h a solid career choice.

Yes, go to school while you do it so you can make more as you get older. My sister is a pharmacist who started out as a tech. She makes extremely good money and loves her job. I'd say go for it bro, just continue your education after at some point.

Well if he plans on living by himself forever its solid in that kind of sense.
