Should I go to this anime con in my area in a few weeks? I have this feeling that I should, but that's probably just nostalgia from going to cons with my friends and enjoying it. You'd think it'd be case closed but:
>it's sixty dollars entry, plus parking and food for the weekend and I have no job
>I would be going alone, my friends who do this are away at college during this weekend
>I'm very introverted, especially when on my own, ie., very low chance of "just meet someone new there" working
Should I do it?
Do you have anything better to do?

If it's worth it to you, go. How would we know the answer.

Do it. I went to my first concert alone and enjoyed it, despite almost quitting and going home cause I was alone

Not really, I don't exactly have a life.

The same could be said on most opinion-seeking posts on this board.
I had the same feeling the other day, and end up attending my local Comic Con alone. I went for one day rather than the entire con, and it was pretty great. You should do it. And I would recommend going for one day rather than the weekend as well, so you won't spend as much.
