I love building stuff. I do it in my free time and have all of my own tools and a workshop in the shed in my parents' back yard.
Is there any way I can make a decent career out of this? I've heard carpentry work is scarce now that everything is made in factories, and construction tends to be seasonal with long periods of no pay.
Can someone please give me career advice? Thanks in advance.

I'm lucky I work at a shop with 60~ year old guys that know a ton about carpentry. So I have a ton of stuff I can learn.
Unless you can find a master carpenter to mentor you then you're shit-out-of-luck because you can't learn this stuff in books or on YouTube.
