Let's say going public or just being open with teenage/young adult ABDL behavior starts to become a thing. Not a normal thing or something everyone does, it would still be considered overall strange and some would still see it as a reason to not associate with you. As time goes on it could grow to fit all age groups as the initially accepted age groups become old farts.

I think I'd overall dislike it, desu. I could see the result being increased commercialisation in the vein of furry, which might be a good thing for diapers (though because it'd be sexual, you run into the problem that price isn't always an object) if prices fell but otherwise it just leads to a lot of annoyances. (Although with patreon, TCP, etc, commercialisation is already here, increased numbers of people always seems to make it worse.)

2. I wouldn't compare it directly to punk, but yeah the idea is that ABDL stuff goes from straight taboo to just pretty weird. It can still cause trouble if your boss is a really conservative type, but it is almost never this huge revelation for others to know about it.

What I do is pastiches. I copy other people's styles, and when I succeed I'm very proud of it, because I believe a good pastiche is worth ten shitty original ideas in a shitty original style, at least in the field of CARTOON PORN, as opposed to romantic painting and modernist conceptual art.

Everyone can have ideas that are all their own, but that doesn't make them worth drawing: There's no shortage of original ideas and original styles on DA, and guess what: 99.9% of it is complete garbage because the people who come up with them never bother trying to execute them properly. Sometimes they're even so attached to the myth of creative originality that they purposefully avoid using reference pics and never progress significantly as a result.

So I don't know about other people, but personally, I'll take 1 good copycat over 10 creative hacks. And I try to be a good copycat.
