Adam Warren.
Got to be in the minority here. Warren's strength is in the artwork. All the characters share the same voice and the dialogue is incredibly shitty and dated. Couldn't make it past volume 3.

Well, there's that, and also the fact that Adam Warren is a REALLY, SERIOUSLY, good sequential artist.

Like, his style is hard as fuck to do.

Most R34 is of things that are easy to draw, or way off-model, or both. Can't do that with Empowered.

it started out, as fetish art someone commissioned. And....it is amazingly good. The story goes from "ohoho, lookit,she's getting bondage'd!" to something clever and trope-proddingly funny. I picked up the first five books cheap, at a shop,and loved it. The artwork is amazing,and the writing kicks ass. And odds are good he'd happily draw more, if commisioned

the comic itself is a parody of all the "90´s superhero-paradigm" it already takes you out of any possible inmersion on the fantasy, drastically remarked by the artist with a very dense sensation of continuous 4th wall breach, if not direct talk to the lector and looking into the lector´s eye.
when you read empowered is very difficult to forget about yourself and go inside the story, and so, it invalidates one of the most strong apeals on rule34, the inmersion on a fantasy about your favourite characters, for you have never inmersed in empowered´s universe, the comic is not intended to get that, it is satire, it is enjoyed entirely from the intelect part of the code used for the artwork. all of adam warren text used in empowered comic is talking directly to the lector,, using the history as a conduct to explain aesthetical and script-wise artistic rules through the critic done to cliched situations and sterotypes on superhero comics.

you tecnically could draw empowered r34, but it would be an artistic exercise devoid of the most demanded thrill on the rules34 comunity, so, as there is no demand of the r34 community from said rendition, no artist is likely invest his/her time to do r34 of empowered..
