Your nose doesn't displace when you open your mouth, and when you open your mouth the only thing that's really moving is your jaw.

Currently you've got her upper lip and nose moving upwards when she opens her mouth when her upper lip and nose should be staying in place while her lower lip and jaw move down.
Luckily the nose is better positioned in the open mouth sprite anyway, so you should easily be able to move her nose and mouth up to match the location of the open mouth sprite.

Kickstarter has a similar function but it's a lump sum instead of a subscription. What that means is whatever you put out for your demo for Kickstarter is all people see before they have a chance to give money.

On Patreon, someone can look at your demo, say "This is kinda neat but I'm not sure yet" and then come back three months later, look at your updates and say "Okay, I think they're gonna stick with this and I like the direction they're going."

Kickstarter has a lot more trust required between the dev and the backer.

A GDD doesnt necessarily have to have the gameplay fully done. It can be what the game's goal and main mechanic used to achieve that goal. Which character are being used. What the game's general flow is. How the UI is gonna go. The "feel" of the backgrounds. Then you put shit about the Art and sounds/music "feel" you're going for. It can be like only 1 - 2 page if you want to.

Then after writing one, its you can start working on the other shit while using your GDD as a baseline to make decisions easier.

And most importantly, GDD's are a living document, meaning you can edit, add, and replace whatever the fuck you want in there as you work. Its a way to keep devs organized.

You can start with a template, fill it up with what you already have then continue working with art assets. Its just there to help you down the line.

I find that most indie devs just ignore making one and end up struggling.
