I played some of Claire's Quest. Pretty awful how they let you go down paths they haven't finished yet and instead just force you to load a save. For instance, if you follow the old man down the smuggler path instead of going through the fort, quite literally stuck. It's also what you have to do in order to pass the intrigue check for the wood pile they have sitting there glimmering.
Also they have a stable scene that asks for 5 depravity that doesn't actually trigger if you have 5 depravity.

Just play through the 2 CG scenes and shut down the game and don't do what I did and wander the ghost towns thinking that there might be something else to see in its current form.

Hentaiwriter firing a guy that didn't do his work and the whole Breeding Season debacle are pretty different. The only one that seemed to be doing work on Breeding Season was Vanilly. HW and Triangulate do a ton of work and actually finish stuff. Also, they didn't seem to sign any really stupid contracts that killed the whole project.

You know, years ago I asked the same question about artists on /tg/. There were tons of amazing artists like Miko that made great stuff for no pay. But people relentlessly gave them shit until they left.

I've seen the same thing over and over with creative stuff. Cool people make cool stuff, get a bit too dominant on the board, then the board will flip out and become completely toxic to them.

Some of it is scrubs being jelly they aren't getting all that precious attention, some of it is people being mad the creative types aren't anon by virtue of sticking out from the crowd. Some is just tall poppy syndrome, and some is people legitimately not liking what's made. Most people just don't give a fuck and go away when certain topics are raised because they don't want to get sucked into toxic subjects. That's how things can flip so fast - the toxic people just reach critical mass, the normal people fuck off and the few defenders drown in a sea of piss.

I have some personal, almost lethal in real life experience with this phenomenon I won't go into, and that's one of the reasons I get less shit than most people - I've spent my entire life navigating angry cesspools of human filth.

I like 4chan though, because it's like the babby-tier version of the IRL thing. When 4chan stops liking me (and it will) I can just go fuck off elsewhere and not have to deal with much except a wandering troll or maybe doxxing. It's unlikely I'm going to be beaten to the edge of death by an angry mob. I consider places like this good practice for far more dangerous places and times in real life.

I've played MILF's Control. I like the art. It's an RPG Maker game though.

My favorite game is Rogue-Like, because I like the core concept, I want a game set in Marvel or DC where you turn capes into your harem. The engine is pretty decent, the art gets me hard, it's doing MOST of the things it should be doing right...

...But you don't fucking talk in that game. Oh sure there's an option, but it just repeats the same three lines of filler over and over. There's no story, there's nothing going on. You can literally play that game by slapping her on the ass over and over until suddenly she's willing to be naked in public. And this is how like half of these games are. The other half are RPG Maker.

At least Abandoned has the characters express personality and progress a relationship by fuckin' speaking to one another.

I've actually stayed a lot behind with LoK community. Can someone give me info, how they are up to?
- I am actually confused with fuckton of "forks" regarding the "PlayShapes engine" games. AFAIK, there were originally two "games": Mario's Castle and LoK. But neither of them were finished at all.
- I'm actually impressed that this community had somewhat lasted all those years.
- While I am aware that dozens of games will never be updated, there are some gems worth attention. Two of them re already listed: Dusty's Castle and SimBro in the pastebins.
- From latest things I've checked there is new sim game called Soo Coobus. Pretty good graphics pixelated graphics / animation, partially implemented plot, though still not possible to beat.
- And for anyone who never heard, there is Mario is Missing platformer, but last time I checked, it was killing my browser.
