Thought I might as well give my two cents. As far as software goes, I've used PS, Gimp, SAI and currently CSP.

PS is like the industry standard for rasterized graphics - it's got most of what you could ever want. That said, you probably won't use half the features. Being able to program your own filters and macros is pretty neat tho.

CSP is like a lite version of PS. That's the best way I can explain it. They got marginally better vector tools and some other improvements.

SAI - All around good software for rasterized art. Missing a few features you'd expect to have like fonts and gradients, but I hear the new version got that covered. Anyway, good for painting, but technically it's pretty lacking.

Gimp - Hey, it's free, but it's clunky, lacking in features and tech.


Don't worry too much about brushes. Some people like to do a lot of custom ones - others have used to default ones their entire careers. It's just personal preference.

If we're going by real life units of measurement, a person is medically considered to be a dwarf if they're less than 5 feet tall. You could reasonably go up to 4 and a half or even 5 heads and still preserve the concept.

I don't usually see characters that are over 4 feet to be shortstacks, just short people. Dwarfism's cutoff is actually 4'10", and that's for medical purposes. At that point most people still look fairly normally proportioned. Going 5 heads tall just goes into the area where the character is too tall looking to be a "shortstack" and just ventures into "short" territory, which is fine, but not really what the fetish is supposed to be about.

Obscure weeb forums. They've been tons by the same studio: Illusion, and over many, many years they've been getting a bit more technically advanced and customisable. Seems like they finally got to a level where you can make an inhuman waifu without cheating or modding, making it not as awkward and more fluid.

I think this one is called Honey Select and it will come out soon-ish, but you can already play a demo and use the character creation to create and share waifus for later. In fact, that's where I noticed this one, in a thread where people make characters to share, usually of known characters from all over, and it seemed on topic for /shortstack/.

IIIRC, the Japan code magic makes it so all the data is embed in the portrait, so you can just save it and then load her up in your game.

What do you think of a more tomboyish sort of innocence? I basically bashed the imp against a wall a couple of times and dunked her into concrete (a little xenoification never hurt anybody!), so she's still a courier, but... less societally integrated, so to speak.
