You can get the latter two a lot of the time actually. For quality though, you aren't getting any good diapers in a store unless you live in Indiana, Washington, or the Chicago area (for US Anons anyway.)

Best I've found in stores back when I was still too nervous to buy online were Depends Max Protection, now Depends with Tabs. They can hold one solid wetting if you don't flood too much, a more dubious second wetting, then they're spent if you don't want leaks. Best worn doubled up, as they can actually emulate a quality diaper in thickness and absorbency like that.
