Got a B/W comic, and I'm absolutely fucking satisfied. He was quick, he worked with me being difficult to describe things (I just couldn't put my idea into words, but he was patient) And blew me out of the water for quality. He trumped my expectations more than anyone else, and left me almost feeling bad I only spent 25 on it. Whenever I have another comic idea, I'm definitely going back to him.

Super friendly, super quick, good price for an uncoloured piece. I believe I spent 15 and got back work I'd've been comfortable spending twenty on within the day. What's more, I flubbed a detail on the subject I was commissioning, and even though I told him the wrong thing, he fixed it quickly, well, and for free. Fantastic service, my only gripe is his coloring is super involved, so it's inexpensive BW or full-on brush style for a lot more.

Guy's got some human issues, but as long as you don't treat him like a machine, he's a great guy. He got me my line work quick, which would have been a fair deal for the ten I paid, and even if he got caught up in shit that delayed the color, it was really just a belated bonus. I'll probably go back to him when his life settles down.

Walked me through step-by-step when I was being a nincompoop on what I wanted. Super chill and great value. His anatomy is pretty realistic, so a grain of salt if you want massive balloon tits and unreal THICC, but if you want legitimate subject quality, don't be shy.

Pretty quick turnaround for a comic (and a great deal). Would have been nice to get a preview before the finished piece but I think they were new to comics. Nice to deal with. I'd commission them again.

So, as far as same ideas go, I gave the same pitch to SarahPrincess. She's changed her prices since then, and this is only a WIP as I requested it as part of a batch, but this is what has come from a 10 dollar commission so far.

Everything else I have is loli, kinda loli, or furry; but 3 out of 8 doodles I just commissioned from Raford will be boardsafe, and if it's anything like the last batch, he works quick.

If A5W could learn to draw attractive tits, I'd commission him in an instant. It's his one downside. They all look bolted on.

Game dev earlier asking about quick and dirty sketches, ended up working a deal out with Rando Calrissian, he gave me a great amount of sketches (in a higher quality than I expected) in just a few hours for an amazing price. Definitely recommended.

I did, and I don't recall whether or not I charged him any extra (I don't believe so), except to cover the expenses for the board I mounted it on (a piece of posterboard with a cover flap), and the packaging and shipping expenses. He was very enthusiastic about it, and told me it arrived in excellent condition.

My thought process was that it would be easier to edit while it was in the sketch phase rather than redrawing lines/colors after it was done.
I'm pleased with the results and more pleased that you'll go back and edit, but providing a wip upon request wouldn't be a bad idea in case if there needs to be any drastic changes.

Some other artists send a really, really simple sketch after payment. It doesn't need to be like halfway through drawing it, it's just to give an idea of where you're thinking of going.

How many of you guys do full color comic commissions?

I'm thinking of doing 250-300 usd per color page.

I already have a few people willing to pay for about 20 pages at this price point. Is this normal? I feel like I'm making an absurd amount of money. ...but I want to keep making this amount of money. Is it just a few people out there willing to pay this much or is this actually a common thing?

I have been offered work to do comic pages but most of the time they offer too little. I have in the past inked and colored pages and that is a very time consuming effort so most of the time i avoid doing comic pages since most dont offer enough for the amount of time that one would have to put into it.

Now, the prices you are going for it something i would be ok with but most would not pay that much. You are in the more pro area of comics if you are asking for prices like that. But, then again, most comics are not done by one person but more like 4 to 5 people.

Also, the work im posting is a commission i did a while back. Not exactly related but i thought i would show it off.

I've got an idea for a game.
Its mainly text based but with pictures of the slaves with customization in addition to the map and certain other picutres (the actions will be in text)
You play as a brothel owner in the medieval era in one of three places, which are:
>1-Nordic: you play as an overlord who fights through lands and enslave the women in every captured area and bring them back to your palace in which you'll train them and turn them into your loyal prostitutes.
The women are mainly strong and not easy to break, they can be very intimidating and if you are a weak ruler then they'll start dominating you in bed and maube even hurt you and give you a couple bruises.
>2- Middle eastern: you'll play as a brothel owner supervised by a sultan, so your objective is split between pleasing your sultan and using him to make your brothel grow bigger and making your slaves be submissive and follow all your orders.
The women are mainly submissive and are easy to break but most of the new women are religious and even if you break their will they might still not do certain fetishes so you need really strong and aggressive methods to put them in their right place, but middle eastern women have the highest sex drive and usually love sex.
>3- Asian: you'll play as a brothel own in china, society usually accepts brothels so you don't have to fear any problems from the common people and you can even trade with other brothels and learn their techniques, but you'll have competition and you need to make the best sex slaves in the kingdom
The women are usually weak and its easy to break their will, sometimes poor families will donate their daughters to you so you can raise them into being the perfect slaves, but women tend not have a high sex drive and sometimes they might even hate sex if it was too rough, but they tend to do your every word if you do break their will

I finally opened a Paypal dispute. It's fine to wait a while for art, but to post a new image while ignoring my emails seems to confirm they're not interested in actually finishing my commission.

I've never had to open a Paypal dispute before and wonder how it works with digital items.

Last I had to fight (over a year ago) you must make a claim no later than 30-45 days after you send payment so you need to make sure you are even able to dispute firstly.

Is the artist on DA by any chance? If so check your sent notes and if the notes are a bold blue it means they haven't read the note yet.

Your only real hope is to hope they don't respond for X amount of time and then you win by default, the seller always has the advantage sadly. Maybe the notification they are being challenged will knock some sense into them if they don't want black marks on their PayPal, I know it did to someone I had trouble with in the past at least.

Just got another great commission from Penguin. Gonna' keep recommend them because they could use the money. And they're just so fucking awesome. Seriously, this took like two days and they were communicating the whole time.

Commissioners. My folder is a fucking mess and I can't think of a good way to do it.

My best idea so far is to just have them all in the same folder and title the images {date} - {artist} so I can search the artist or just look through my history but that seems suboptimal.

Try to have good communication. For me i send wips as i go to my client and if they dont really reply on a timely manor (like within 24 hours, two days tops) and being honest with your critiques, if something is not how you want it, tell the artist.
