Yeah, John K. was the one that really started a lot of that stuff back when he first got Ren & Stimpy on the air. A ton of cartoons followed that, Rocko is a good example. It's not seen a whole lot today though, MUCH too expensive to animate all those weird facial expressions that they'd come up with constantly.

If you read his blog or looked at some of what he said, it's clear he bases all his work on classic animation styles from such shows like Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes. Unfortunately, without a big enough budget or talent to help him with his work, it just doesn't seem very smooth, as is seen in the gif of OP. He's still got a good style, and he's worth having on a project... just make damn sure that fellas got someone watching over him constantly.

I cannot for the life of me think of a single bit of work recently that used this kind of style of animation, nevermind even looking the same or even for adults especially. Probably outta luck, OP. You could try El Superbeasto though? Maybe that'll be good enough for you? Though not over-expressive art from what I remember.

Spumco used to also have a website with a bunch of risque toons. Probably scattered halfway across the net by now. He did Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures too but that's mostly furry.

Doris Deer from Pith Possum was in a somewhat similar style. Also comic-wise might want to check out Bret Blevin's work, though he's less cartoony.

After seeing this thread and learning more about this I feel like these guys should literally just start making porn. They'd make a killing using patreon with the current market, especially with their history and experience once they get the proper exposure. I'm sure a lot of the big creators would help spread the word.

Don't know many people into lewd cartoons who aren't at least familiar with the ren & stimpy sluts.
