And that's it for me. If the thread's still up in the morning I may throw in a few Lunar Quest images.
But another reason I made this thread was because a lot of these were originally posted on 4chan in the first place, and now this is the place to do so that's not against the RRRUUURRRUUUs.
So hey, Jukashi, if you're out there, would ya mind inaugurating this new board?
I miss the heck out of this comic. Need to start catching up on his quest threads.

I kind of remember reading this and thinking that it was a huge OOTs ripoff.
>>31957
It was.
>>31979
Still I kind of wish it was around
It seemed a bit more lightehearted than OOTs
And OOTs has only become more serious since then
>>32028
Eh, both are pretty shitty comics. If you're gonna have that much wall of text, why not just write a novel?
>>32057
Because reading about sexy sluts is more fun when you get to see pictures of the sexy sluts
> Captcha: STREET SIGNS
> Have to solve like five fucking images
> Finally get to post
> WHOOPS, LOOKS LIKE YOU MISTYPED THE CAPTCHA
> More fucking STREET SIGNS
Come the fuck ON
>>32057
The big point of OotS for me was the interactions between the characters when it was more meta (it still is, but not as much) and Xykon. Xykon was just a fucking perfect BBEG. Funny and light-hearted most of the time, but then shit got serious and he proved that he was the real deal in spectacular ways. It's been ages since he last appeared though, so I've kinda lost interest.
>>32156
I've gone over to the audio captcha, after having to select street signs literally a hundred times in a row before it allowed me to post.
>>32156

>>34713
As far as I know, there's only that one picture.
I'm even almost to the bottom of the barrel with Lunar Quest images. The ones that are left include characters next to Saulanna who may be too furry for /aco/. I may just censor the offending characters out and post them anyway.
>>34097
The art definitely progressed from stick figures.
But now I bet it takes them too long to draw so they can't do comics anymore
>>34861
Hmm. I probably overdid it.
>>32356
I'm curious as to what I missed
>>38342
Just some generic stick figure shitpost.
You missed nothing.
>>37971
Nope; the originals just contained characters with possibly too many "anthropomorphic features" to be allowed. For example, in the first one, Saulanna's Lunar warform (which definitely has a muzzle/snout) was behind her. Image #2 was originally much wider (again containing at least one character with a muzzle) and this one had an alien and a goblin who both are one step further from ordinary human than Marena up is.
Anti-furry rules are a bit strict here, I hear, but I went so far as to censor, say, the crescent moon, just to be silly.
And that's it! That's all of Jukashi's Exalted smut I know of (starring human-shaped characters.) And all the Keychain smut since April 2011 is the only content released for it since the comic stopped. Better than nothing, certainly.

More Saulanna, and Maolla
Wow, this thread is still here? I imagine it's only one or two people keeping it alive, but I guess that deserves something.
This is a sketch lineup I made because I wanted to practice drawing distinct body shapes, and I picked a bunch of my Exalted (and one god-blooded) characters to do it with. It's not the quality I'd normally upload for other people to see these days, but since stuff like >>20725 was posted I'm guessing someone would like to see it anyway. I planned to do a larger, fully inked version at some point, maybe with proper hands and legs and other things I need to practice as well, but it's been sitting on a back burner for ages as is, so who knows when that will be.
>>50262
>>53262
I've never actually decided I won't ever continue the comic, but at this point it does seem unlikely, and it definitely wouldn't be any time soon. There's a lot about Keychain that could have been better, but most cases of creators trying to redo a comic from the beginning generally don't turn out well, so I doubt I'll do that if I ever do.
There's also some problem in that, with third edition, there's stuff that's been altered about the Exalted setting, so that might cause some issues as well.
>>61734
I don't recognize the two on the right, has LQ updated recently?
Also, do you ever hang around in the Exalted Generals on /tg/?
>>61734
I was going to say to >>45773 that I hoped your embarassment at your old work wasn't keeping you away from Keychain. I think there's too much good about it for it to deserve to be forgotten. I would further think that it's very hard to make a stick-figure RPG webcomic that SHOULDN'T be an embarassment, but you succeeded. In my opinion. For whatever one anon's opinion is worth.
And, at least I as a fan wouldn't be bothered by the edition issues. Order of the Stick's weathered two new D&Ds while sticking almost entirely to 3.5, and it, unlike KoC (unless I'm mistaken), made a very, very prominent edition-upgrade joke, so KoC would have even less to answer for there.
Also, (and this is purely personal taste,) I really wouldn't mind seeing more solo comics from you. Quests are fun, to be sure, but I think you're definitely a better writer than the average suggester, and I would think stories can be so much nimbler and neater when the collective stubbornness of the internet doesn't need to be wrangled in their writing.
So just don't get discouraged. If the old stuff does embarrass you, then at least you're self-aware and improving. It's much better than the alternative!
>>61734
Well if you ever get back to it, we'll be waiting.
And fapping. We'll be fapping as well.
>>62854
Those characters may or may not appear in Lunar Quest at a future point, depending on the choices of the players. I will tell you though, the guy on the right is a character I actually played in a game once.
And sometimes, but not habitually.
>>63002
>>63461
I like making comics, but they can be pretty intensive. My arm problems never entirely went away, so I'm not sure if I can manage the time every day to work on one like I did with Keychain, along with other stuff I do that also takes a toll. Questing requires less prolonged sessions of wrist work. I also find it a very interesting medium to work with, it can do things that would be impossible in a non-interactive story.
I do try to stay self-aware. Whenever my work comes up on 4chan, I actually hope for people to criticize me properly. But so far all I got in this thread was "OotS ripoff" (which it did start as), Misho as an "insufferable moralfag" (which he's partially supposed to be, though I hope not too insufferable), and "wall of text" (which it was sometimes, though there were also quite a few pages where I tried to go almost purely visual). I once saw someone on some forum somewhere indicate that they didn't like my attitude towards women, though the rest of what they'd said was positive. I don't think it was in relation to the various lewds I'd drawn, since I don't think at that point I'd publicized them. I can't remember the exact words they used. I'm not sure I get what problem they might have had. I did draw a lot of girls with bare midriffs, but there were reasons I did that. Was there something else? This probably isn't the place to ask.
>>63539
Some KoC fans, my self included, will wait to the ends of time if there is any hope of it returning. I would even weather once a year updates.
>>63539
Oh I do like to talk writing shop, but you're right that this may not be the best environment. But the thread's still alive so hey!
I'm not that big a quest fan because, well, my nerves can't take it. Someone recently said something on Rokolo Quest that I thought summed it up: "so the left is obviously a trap, but the right is even MORE obviously a trap" and I can't hold my breath long enough to get through a whole quest when an ignominious bad end never seems far away. Like happened in The Sword. Also, collaborative storytelling open to anyone (especially channers, perhaps) seems to resemble Everyone Is John more than any other tabletop RPG, as just about every voice in the character's head has their own idea about how they want things to go. When your protagonist is a violent lunatic with zero dignity, (like Bard Quest, I suppose) that suits it just fine, but in a more serious story I'm just left praying that I and the other suggesters don't do anything critically stupid. Like happened in The Sword. And while it's obviously possible to skim a good story out of even a wretched hive of scum and villainy, I guess I just don't like worrying that too much scum could rise to the top and spoil things. Or worse yet, that that scum could be me!
Buuut that's just me, and I don't think I should be taken as typical on that matter. Not everyone's as anxious as I am.
>>63539
>>65727
As for KoC, the only thing that comes to mind now in terms of story criticism is that I don't know what Karen was adding to the story. Silent characters have been deprived of their most useful means of self-expression, and unless the character's really otherwise expressive (Wall-E, Gromit) or has an interpreter (R2-D2), they can be reduced to accessories of the talking character they're most attached to. Karen was Marena's twin. What else was she? What was she going to do? How did she think? Had being a monk so robbed her of her own initiative that all she was going to do was silently defend those she cared about? Maybe that'd work, but those are all Exalts; they can do that already! How does she disrupt the status quo?
Well, she had the hots for Ten Winds and because this last story arc seemed like a Ten story, she might have come into her own. But so far she's just been there, adding ???
Because the comic's not finished, I can't issue any verdict on the story, on the stuff that matters most. It is perfectly possible, given the above, that you knew what you were doing and were doing it on purpose. Maybe she really was superfluous, but maybe it just wasn't yet time for her purpose to shine through. Maybe what she brought to the circle wasn't communicated effectively enough, but since I don't know what that was going to be, I can't say for sure.
Phoo. Don't know how much help I can be if I'm not sure what I'm talking about, but there it is anyway.
>>63539
>I did draw a lot of girls with bare midriffs, but there were reasons I did that.
Honestly, Exalted is the sort of setting where a bit of low-level cheesecake is entirely appropriate, so long as it's applied to both genders. It's not like your female characters were sitting around helpless while the male ones solved everything on their own, either.
I just want more Secret.
I'm damn sorry to hear that the arm trouble never fully went away.

Kairosa fanart
>>63539
Artwise, I liked KoC right from the start. It may have been inspired by OotS, but it had it's own style. A simpler art-style doesn't bother me because my imagination is good enough to compensate (trained by reading over 1000 books!). It also avoids the problem I noticed with a lot of other webcomic that had, or developed, very detailed artwork - at some point the artist either gives up, or deliberately tries changing their style to find something they can live with . A lot of good webcomics seemed to die from this kind of thing.
Storywise, there were good parts and some eeh parts. In particular, I though Misho never really seemed to get a chance to shine in a fight, but then he was my favourite character so I'm a bit biased.
The conclusion to the Mew Kai arc was great and made me genuinely feel emotions. Beggining was a bit loose though
Probably my least favourite was the Alchemicals arc. It sort of felt like a "wacky wayside tribe" (not well connected to the rest of the plot) and ended kind of anticlimactically. Part of that is just that the Alchies don't have the same kind of history in the setting as the rest of the Exalts do, though.
>>76968
By far the best part were the characters, hands down. Secret, Ten Winds, Marena, and Misho all felt like real individuals and played off each other in interesting ways. The downtime parts were some of my favourite. Even Karen I was warming up to, although she kind of felt like a player joined the campaign mid way thorough and was retconned in, at least at first.
If you ever take it back up, for Sol's sake do not rewrite it from the start! The old stuff is still good to us, even if you have a hard time looking at it. If you can't bear continuing from where you left off, consider skipping somewhat into the future into a different storyline. Then you can torture us by having the characters make cryptic references to what happened, but never reveal it. Or, just flashback to it at some point, whatever floats your junk ;) Or maybe a sidestory (Karen's maybe?) that then rejoins the main plotline.
Another thing to consider, may be changing the format from webcomic, to illustrated story, ie. less pictures, more text, if that's easier on your wrists. Especially since you effectively have more recent practice at this kind of format from running quests.
TL;DR KoC was great, whatever the fuck you decide to do with it, I'll fucking gobble it up.

I just kind of wish that there was another Exalted comic of similar quality and style to Keychain. I've looked at the others and destinctly don't care for them, but whenver I want to introduce someone to the world of Exalted I just point them at Keychain
Hey Glorious Jukashi. What are the chances now that you've pretty much stated you're not going to be continuing keychain. Why don't you share some secrets or plot stuff that we'll never otherwise get to see?
>>65742
>Karen
There's stuff I'd change about how Karen was handled, if I was doing the comic from the start again. I did have plans for her, a few key roles in certain story arcs, but she mostly existed to serve other characters, mainly as a love interest for Ten Winds and for Marena to demonstrate her intense feelings for close friends and family. I actually added her originally because I created her and Marena long, long before I ever came up with KoC. They were key characters in my dumb teenage OC fantasy setting, and I "reincarnated" them as sisters in Keychain. So, in my mind, they were a package, and as a result, Karen was added without having a particularly strong purpose in the story. She added some combat ability, since the other characters were either non-combat-focused or a Terrestrial, but the story's action scenes would likely be more interesting without a designated ass-kicker.
>>76968
>Probably my least favourite was the Alchemicals arc. It sort of felt like a "wacky wayside tribe" (not well connected to the rest of the plot) and ended kind of anticlimactically.
The Alchemicals would have returned later in the story, and Nova had a particular significance to her. I also had a desire to eventually show off all the different Exalted in some way.
>consider skipping somewhat into the future into a different storyline.
I actually already had this idea, myself. It has potential.
>>84516
>Why don't you share some secrets or plot stuff that we'll never otherwise get to see?
I haven't said I won't ever continue! Just that it was unlikely. Though that didn't stop my saying what I just did, about the alchemicals and Nova.
Hmm. I feel weird posting in this thread without putting up some lewd images. I do have other Keychain-related pics, but I did them in trades and commissions that the recipients didn't want shown elsewhere.

>Misho as an "insufferable moralfag" (which he's partially supposed to be, though I hope not too insufferable)
Well, he is Compassion 5, so that's to be expected. I feel like the biggest issue was that up till the point we got to in the comics before the hiatus, he never REALLY stepped up and did things something heroic.
I mean, he's supposed to be a Solar, but I can't really think of any parts of the story where he demonstrated being worthy of the exaltation.
The part where he breaks down when Flame and the Sidereal both came after his key was his most insufferable. Yes, he hit limit break, but he could've at least assert partial control.
>>85606
Heh heh. "Share some Secrets".
>>63539
Keychain of Creation was one of the few webcomic I followed religiously. It introduced me to Exalted, the story was funny and fitted the setting, and the art went from cool to awesome in its simple yet efficient style.
One of the strong point of KoC was its characters. Ten Winds, Secrets, Marena were awesome, and while Misho was a little bland, he was still interesting in his own way.
While I'm still hoping for the comics to resume, more artworks related to it is always most welcomed, in your old or newer style (I like them both).

A good omen for Ex3? Probably not given the length that shit has taken and the leaks seen so far, but I'll take hope where I can.

>not a good omen
Leak is like 90% awesome stuff. That's bigger percentage than both previous editions. If they didn't fuck things up after the last leak and maybe even listened to some of the complaints (although they didn't have much time for it), it'll only get slightly better.
If Jukashi shows up and answers questions while posting content, is that PERFECT DELIVERY?
>>90879
Jukashi should illustrate a 3E Scroll of Swallowed Darkness

>Leak is like 90% awesome stuff.
I actually have some pretty serious balance concerns. Not the system which I'm intrigued by, but the glut of charms makes me feel like there's going to be a lot of bad and unforseen consequences to some selections. That however is not something I can test, not being in an ongoing game using the leak with my game breaking friends. And probably won't be with ex3 either for a bit. Full up on games and none of our favorite Exalt types are on the near horizon.
I look forward to the release though and when we get DB or whatever the second splat book is to see how things look as we progress forwards.
This thread is the perfect blend of /aco/ /co/ and /tg/

Well, combat (at least without charms) is no longer 1 hit kills and perfect-or-die. Crafting is weirdish but a significant improvement (not hard). Have not read up on Social Combat but I am hard pressed to think it could have been made worse without purposeful effort.
Also, threadly reminder, high Essence does not make your tits huge. Neither does high Appearance.
Hm. I seem to remember high-essence solars tend to look like they're out in the sun all the time. Therefore, the facetious suggestion of the day is 'every light haired and tanned human can be presented as Exalted-related.' Pic provided as reference, and it's not like we're anywhere near bump limit.

I have a bit of Heaven's Reach to post, next time In at my computer.
The Scarlet Empress
Another Scarlet Empress
Lunar
Just throwing it out here, but the backer pdf got finished and leaked.

Don't get too excited now. turns out the art in 3rd ex is shit. Literally can find better art in this thread.
>>139221
There is poser art in it.
>>140156
What does poser mean in this context?
>>140175
It means worse than this.
>>140175
A shitty software for posing 3d models.
>>>/tg/43236555
See.
This is not a joke.
This is actual art.
From the book.
This is the most blatant 3d poser one, but that guy did more, he just airbrushed over them.
Such as "Karjack looks out into fate windows".
Four out of five (fifth is Mask of Winters) windows apparently see into other realities such as Age of Empires and Crusader Kings.
(By which I mean the art is flat out stolen from basic internet searches.)
Artefact illustrations are also shitty 3d models.
Chakram specifically is straight up lift from Soul Calibur.
And now back to stuff actually from DeviantArt and never passed off as being for official publication...
Moonshadow
I'll post up a few commissioned pics of a Lunar character I had in a Heaven's Reach campaign. Man, I miss that game.
Hobbies include nude sunbathing on the outer hull of a spacecraft.
DBT, of course.
And full-on space whale.
>>142377
Huh. I was pretty sure that DBTs would by nature fall afoul of the furry police, but maybe mermaids like that are considered something different (here's hoping, at least!)
Lunars can be much more easily identified than other Exalts when naked.
Random Keychain question: Did we ever see Secret's anima go totemic? If so, what was it?
I really loved Jukashi's work like KoC, Lunar Quest, and that thing with Maolla Syrup whatever it was called.
Too bad he doesn't do much anymore.
>Keychain of Creation
>1650 Days Ago
Sigh.

Maolla's thing is called Will of the Undermind.

Most of The Freedom Stone seems to be teetering on the verge of the Void. Did manage to find (most of) nexus's art; here's a significant part of it.

And that's it for me. I think this thread's had much more than a good enough run, so I'm not going to post anything more (unless something interesting happens.) Maybe we can do this again next year.
So literally who
>>144975
I didn't even know the uncensored version of this picture existed. Would also like it very much.
Wow, this thread has survived a long time. Bit of artificial life support, but if people want it it enough than people want it enough, I guess.
>>85762
As Anon said, denial would not be plausible. Also kind of a dick thing to do?
>>87510
Well, I did do this one of Akatrina (from Lunar Quest) and Racer (Marena's mentor, who appeared for a while in KoC). Because she's a horsewoman, and he's a horse. It's destiny, clearly. Not the best pic though.
>>87609
Misho not seeming worthy of exaltation was actually sort of a deliberate thing. I say sort of because he was supposed to demonstrate a lot that was worthy about himself, but it was still meant to be a little questionable. Partly, that's because Misho is different from other Solars in that, at least in regards his First Age self, he was a first generation solar - specifically chosen by the unconquered sun himself, rather than by the automatic process, and as such could be a bit more unrealistically idealistic than others. And in part there was going to be a thing about him maybe losing what had once made him worthy - that, over time, he had become weighed down by his experiences, compared with what he had once been.
In fact, there was actually a bit of a theme with all the protagonists that they each represented a different way that humans can react to being given power.

>>118991
Bit late responding, but thanks!
Also thanks to whoever did that Saulanna pic that I can't find now and may be remembering wrong in regards where I saw it.
>>150612
Saulanna pic was originally from a drawthread on /b/ and the repost here got deleted (along with the zero-G Scellor orgy pic.) Shouldn't be because it offended official sensibilities (maybe the Scellor's snouted alien partner did and got that poster's contributions whacked?), so here it is again.
>>150612
You should give us stories again. If that amount of drawing is still hard on you, you should write stories with just the occasional illustration then.
I don't know about "should", but they would certainly be appreciated.
>>150612
I really miss your stuff like KoC, lunar quest, and will of the undermind, I hope you have the time and desire to do them in the future.
>>151706
Signed!
I'd love to see you continue, well, any of your stuff.
>>150612
>>151032
>>151093
Also, this is probably obvious but bears saying: don't think those of us who are hoping you'll get back to KoC are demanding a twice-weekly (or any particular) update schedule! You can always update less often if that's what works for you! (At least in my opinion) Keychain's main draw isn't a regular fix: it's a particular story readers care about, and it's always a seller's market for particular stories, so you can really set whatever terms you like. And anyone who'd complain about that, about getting insufficient free something especially after years of nothing, would seem to be in need of pic related.
>>154074
>it's a particular story readers care about
To be honest, the story wasn't as good as Jukashi could probably do now. And I don't think he needs to go back to Keychain itself, I'd be fine with something new. I just want more of the way he writes characters. And if his magical realm creeps in here and there, I'm fine with that too.
>>154080
I want to see the resolution of the Marena/Misho romance arc, and more Secret.
Something new would also be ok.

Are little green men welcome here?
>>165367
Not sure they're exalted related.
>>165367
Well there was a little of them upthread, but it's becamse mostly "exalted porn" than "jukashi's porn"... Although I can't turn down the latter anyway. Postem.

The last scellor pic got deleted for some reason, I guess all aliens are furry now?

Nah just a raccoon girl. More exalted stuff, but from a quest.
>>169896
I like those fruit goblins and would like to see more.
But apparently they're from a quest that stopped updating like five years ago?
>>175744
>But apparently they're from a quest that stopped updating like five years ago?
IIRC Jukashi still had vague plans to go back and run another episode of them after Polokoa (and Lunar Quest after the greens).
Of course plans be plans.
>>175814
The palooka stuff just goes on soo long. But it's not like he ever actually stops, so that's a plus. There were a handful of quest masters there I liked who poofted off.
>>175944
>There were a handful of quest masters there I liked who poofted off.
Anyone in particular? I'd like to look up more stuff.
>>176134
Oh jeeze lemme remember it's been years. Jukashi's lunar quest and will of the undermind posted here is obvious. There was a great quest by Gnome called earth defense force where we played a rather pleasant professional villain of fire and obsidian. There was one with a loli necromancer, forget the author or exact name though but if you search http://tgchan.org/wiki/Mainpage for necromancy it should pop up. Larro had a bunch of pretty good ones, just check his entry on the wiki. Weaver had Nan quest and dive quest which were popular, among some shorter ones. Fortune quest by Gnoll, Rudy quest by reaver, they have other good stuff too. Static on the wire is a pleasant quest featuring a cyborg zombie assassin, and currently running. There were a few others with neat ideas but I can't recall too many particulars, and many were cut short.
I'm sure there are others you'd like according to your tastes, browse a bit.
Caution about lunar quest: HUGE threads. Also the huge discussion threads, which have some canon story developments that the main quest links to.

http://tgchan.org/wiki/Tiffany this one?
>>177729
Yup. Had a neat magic system.
>>176205
>Larro had a bunch of pretty good ones
Larro had shit art and his only asset is constant yuri, which is only subjectively an asset.
EDF, Dive, and Tiffany were great quests and I'm sorry they're dead. The others you mention were kind of middle-of-the line in my opinion, except Rudy which sort of goes in its own category and wasn't matched until Lagotrope.
>>175744
>fruit goblins
A shame we didn't see much of the actual goblins.
>>178355
Yes, well, opinions. Larro's early stuff was no award winner for art to be sure, won't argue that.
>>179767
Did somebody say goblins?
Um yeah. I tried combining the two Keychain tentacle pictures into one.
H-hope you like it.

Really neat. The black line around Secret's raised foot could do with being smoothed over, but it works well.

Many thanks, and it looks like we need another Exalted thread!
OP and poster of most of the images here. I'm going to let this lie until next spring so as not to wear out the material. But if anybody else wants to follow this up, go ahead.
I hope it's not too late for sexy inkpot.

Wordblood was born to provide service and assistance. He's just a naturally subby little bookworm. I think he mentioned at one point that he was more comfortable not being the King of his hierarchy.
>>185979
A general exalted thread might be something that could work now and then.
Hopefully it might entice Jukashi to drop by occasionally.

My immulsion!
I think here's a good place to share this picture that was requested from another artist. Queen Saulanna takes a moment to share some personal time with Kairosa.
