I'm trying to make a game, but it's my first time coding and I'm absolutely terrible at it. I want to make it somewhat like a mix between CoC and Sunless Sea in that it's primarily text based, but an artist has expressed interest in illustrating parts of it.

Also it's gotta have a pregnancy system like Violated Heroine because my fetishes are deviant like that.

Combat will be part of it but the limitations of the system I'm using will probably just end up turning it into scripted events with choices that will either pass or fail in stages based off of your character and a dice roll. I conceptually know how to make it all work with Ren'py but I'm kinda brute forcing my way through learning it and python (still gotta learn how to make a map screen for instance). Is there any other system that you guys would recommend that would make the process easier with the stuff I've described?

I've ruled out RPG maker because I don't want to put myself through sprite making again.

How in-depth do you want this to be? Just random values/description, life story until now, family?

You probably don't need an in-game generator as such, you can get away with some 100-200 pre-genned characters in a pool you can chose from given some criteria, or some character templates with small variations, but I'm always game for a needlessly complex and encompassing solution.

yeah, I always try to design thinking long term, and by long term I mean 2 years in the future. Even if im not using some variables, I know which ones more or less will be needed or will facilitte working on that.

Right now I will create a generator too for monster girls. It recycles all the essentials like class, background, etc. and the only change is in the setRace.

There will be 3: humans, monster animal girls, and exotics.

Exotics will be things like pixies, goblins, ghost girls, etc.

I will probably only add 1-2 exotic races for now, but in the future adding the rest will be easier.

Or what types of soil and climate are best for growing particular crops. 100% infodump.

It's mostly a matter of me not having an artist to do it and no time to write it. But once things don't need me to be as active (I.E. when the script is done) I'll probably take care of it.

Her scene was prettymuch the end of it and there's nothing more satisfying than the job getting finished in the end. That said I rather liked the monstergirl scenes. The monstergirls were generally based on people I actually know from the mind control fetish community. Writing them into the game was a laugh and a half. Particularly the monstergirls Koko and PomPom. They really got a kick out of their cameos.

There were actually more than just two days. I just merged all the chapter finale stuff into a single spot. To answer your question though, I have not worked on it much in the past 10-12 days. Been pretty busy at work. It's also why my posts slowed a bit. I got an opportunity to join an installation project that offered double-pay and next week triple-pay. Couldn't pass that kind of money up.
