Nope, the animation is more fluid and most people praise it as being possibly the best animated long running shonen. Of course VA is subjective. So is character design, but most would agree. The pacing is better and the filler is partly why the earlier series was so slow. And yes, obviously it has the CA arc by default, but that is still a point in it's favour.

Literally every fucking fight that consist of powers that are not just punching each other has more strategy than you averga shounen.

I already gave up on HxH threads a long time ago, it always devolves to this "HxH is complete garbage" X "HxH is one of the most well crafted shounens ever".
I personally enjoy HxH a lot, and I do think it's far above the average, it has good production values and it's less straightforward than your average shounen, but browsing (and much less posting) in those threads is just too tiring to me, the best option is just keeping your opinions to yourself and that's it. There's other threads worth browsing.
