Hmmmm, I refused to watch the show in pic but it had little to do with designs and more to do with how paper thin the plot and a lot of characters were. I heard some people tried to defend this shit but you can't really excuse disjointed stories or pretentious asf characters like Dewey.

That out of the way, there were a few others I kind of wanted to avoid but am willing to watch if everything else is good like Kaiji.

I've tried to watch an episode and I couldn't help but think who fuck drew something this retarded.
Their gestures, poses, clothes, even their special abilities, everything about One Piece it's pure cringe, seriously.

You should give it a watch anyway anon. It takes a bit to get used to but when you actually get a few episodes in you'll learn to appreciate just how expressive the art style is and how it allows for some really damn good animation.

It's not just the animation though, the overall direction of the show is top-notch and the OST is fantastic. Yuasa's works are usually very good but Ping Pong stood out quite a bit after the first two episodes, trust me, by the time you reach the end you'll be so invested by the show that you'll forget about the odd art style.
