Why is there no actual Touhou anime if there's official

I can't say I know much about that but from what I remember ZUN doesn't want each character to have a canon seiyuu, so no anime.

As ironic as it sounds, there's nothing to adapt. The manga are perfectly fine and the franchise/games popular enough. The only way to create more content from this is to make yet another spin-off, but then you have shit like licencing, more creative demand from ZUN and basically what >>161891377 said.
