Naruto is a gateway anime of the worst kind. It's a bad series, a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive shipping faggotry and DARKNESS. The normal anon can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the series itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.

However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for aspie, unsociable underageb& faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The superpowered characters all trying their hardest to look cool, the jutsus, peculiar, colorful clothes, the whole ninja faggotry and everything about the Naruto world fuels their escapist fantasies, while the pity-party character backgrounds, emphasis on revenge, and overall preachiness of the series make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average preteen and his sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes little kiddies and underageb& retards eat this shit right the fuck up.

Naruto is basically THE series to attract the most hated anime fanbase known to /a/, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every anon to troll the fuck out of this show and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no Naruto threads ever encourage the newfriends to show their faces here.

Deforming shit is never a fault where animation is concerned. It's all a matter of style, but it certainly isn't an animation error. I thought it was pretty cool personally. Sure it was toonesque, but then again I wouldn't say that's out of place at all in Naruto. Pain as a concept, as a villain, and as an arc, was laughably childish and stupid.

Not in 2D animation. 24fps is the standard. And it's extremely rare even for high budget production to go higher than 12 drawing per second. A bigger number of fps doesn't mean a better animation anyways, that's a myth. Even in 3D animation the effect is barely perceptible. The only reason we're doing shit like 60 fps is because 3D softwares allow it and it doesn't take more effort than doing an animation in 30fps, so why the fuck not.
Also try to talk to a 2D animator about intervalling with a compression code to reach 60fps with a cartoon with 6 drawings per second max, he'll laugh in your face. Sure, why not, that could be done, but god would it look like shit. You need a human bean to draw the intervals for you. There's just no getting around that.

I know it's simple but frankly I don't think it looks better. Too much interpolation has a tendency to look unnatural and be eye catching, which when you're not careful can divert your attention from whatever you're trying to make the focus of your scene. That's particularly a problem in anime, where character animated in 24fps with 2 drawings per second meet animated 3D mechas and background in 60fps and everything is compressed to become 25fps. Sure it's all a matter of competent staging but still, I hate this.

It's not a problem. More drawings =/= good animation. Between two key poses separated by one second I'd rather take 2 frames by the head animator of Trigger than 25 frames by a random at Toei.

Thing is animation studios in japan don't really care for 3D, the business model of anime is basically "make your army of otaku slaves draw 500 drawings for one episode, don't give them money, profit" but that doesn't work for 3D. The only moment 3D is valuable for them is when it allows them to make something cheaper. From what I hear it's often the same guy who is doing the modelling, the rigging, the animating, and the rendering. Of course they don't care to make a decent render with such a workflow.
There are exceptions though. The CG knightmares in Akito blended pretty well with the high budget 2D animation. Kado as well was visually rather impressive and had decent anime like shaders.
