There's is nothing positive about Symphogear's portrayal of child abuse or whatever; no matter how much set dressing they try to put over it to make it look okay.

Top Dad is a fucking turbo cunt who ran away from his vulnerable family because he was scared of the same abuse that they were experiencing. And then thought that he could just make everything better by coming back and saying sorry, which unfortunately works. Hibiki should have told him to fuck off. She's a much more forgiving person than anybody could be in reality.

The worst of the two is in AXZ. Mom is actually hitting children with a whip and injuring them in military experiments, you cannot retroactively say that she "cares" about Maria and the others because she looked sad. If she did care she'd be getting those kids out of there.

The message that "abuse makes you stronger" is completely ass backwards and not at all reflected in reality. If anything the retarded tomato metaphor just proves that point further because you have to de-humanize the victims into vegetables for it to make any fucking sense.

I legit think it's really fucked up and I hate these episodes that focus on the family drama because of it. And if it isn't the message the writer is trying to deliver, then what the fuck is it? I can't imagine a mangling of a moral this disastrous.

Here's the difference between real human behavior in a fantastic setting v. the shit writing of GX
