They wasted ten years of the lives of Favaro and Kaisar to make Nina and Charioce. I am enjoying season 2, but I'm also disappointed. What was even the point of having Azazel, Favaro, Kaisar and Rita in this? It just nullifies them from any chance of further stories.

Another information that came out of the event is that Oishi is entirely responsible for the "romance" and she got free reign to write it as she pleases, which in my guess is the reason why it feels so completely removed and separate from the main story. And it's fucking weird, I know we live in times where everything is written by committees but fir fucks sake the least they could do is synchronise the fucking story so parts of it don't feel like they belong in another fictional universe.

Mugaro's character getting ruined is Cheerios fault as well because in the writer's desperate need to make the golden boy look good everyone else is getting shafted for either screen time or character coherence. Mugaro/Azazel dynamic is esentially everything Nina /Cheerios is supposed to be but utterly fails at it. Jeanne and Azazel have potential for interesting dunamic as past foes but they'll get shafted as well for more redundant cheerios melodrama.

I agree that the prison break itself was drawn out (especially since one episode was just a failed prison break) but I enjoyed a lot of moments like Rita being awesome and the mine cart escape. I also really liked when the gods attacked. That whole scene was really kino. Plus, the Dromos/hand cannon stuff wasn't as lame as I thought it would be.

When you are doing a 2nd season of an anime that people really enjoyed, you need to step up the quality of the newer characters so that people actually give a shit and like seeing them next to the established ones.
